SOLAR POWER PLANT

Why choose a solar power plant?

savings

Save on electricity costs

There are no network charges and no national taxes, you keep all the electricity produced.

euro

Sell the surplus to the network

You can conveniently sell excess electricity to the grid for extra revenue.

Save the nature

Generating electricity from the sun is an environmentally friendly and sustainable option.

Think before you start

1

Assess your free space

Check whether you have enough free space:

  • 5 kW system – approximately 35 m²
  • 10 kW system – approximately 60 m²
  • 15 kW system – approximately 95 m²
2

Submit a request to Elektrilevi

Submit a producer’s request for connection to Elektrilevi through their website: www.elektrilevi.ee/vaiketootjale

3

Choose the placement of panels

In which cardinal direction should you place the panels:

South

Produces well, especially during midday. Maximum productivity.

East-west

Including south-east and south-west. The maximum productivity is lower than in the direction of south, but extends the daily productivity time.

4

Consider the installation site

Installation on roof:

  • Take shady places (trees, higher roof edge, chimney) into account
  • Check the load-bearing capacity of the roof, especially if the roof is flat
  • Leave a walkway for access (e.g. access to the chimney)
  • Leave sufficient clearance between the chimney, skylight and other objects

Installation on ground:

  • Find a free surface that isn’t shadowed by trees, the house or other objects
5

Plan the technical aspects

  • Where can you install the inverter (dimensions approximately 525 x 470 mm and thickness 150 mm).
  • Consider the cable routes from the solar panels to the inverter and from there to the switchboard.
  • Consider the current electricity consumption of the building – the more you use yourself, the better.

How to get started?

1

Contact us

Contact us and we’ll check the site where you want to install the solar panels and advise you on a reasonable solution.

2

Initial plan

We will prepare an initial plan for the placement of the panels and an initial offer.

3

Design

We’ll prepare the design on the basis of a written order.

4

Final offer

We’ll make a final offer according to the design.

5

Conclusion of contract

We’ll sign a contract between all parties.

6

Building notice or permit

We’ll submit the building notice or request for a building permit to the local authority, as required.

7

Ordering materials

We’ll order all the materials necessary to carry out the work.

8

Installation

We’ll install the solar power plant.

9

Measurements and audit

We’ll carry out the necessary electrotechnical measurements and audit of the solar power plant, and prepare the as-built documentation.

10

Use permit

We’ll request a use permit for the solar power plant.
